1. What this policy covers
This policy describes the current Fomibee study app and this public website. Fomibee brings together virtual study spaces, notebooks, focus sessions, a planner, and optional account and subscription features. Availability can differ between the mobile app, web preview, and development builds.
We use information to save your work, operate the features you choose, authenticate accounts, keep subscription access accurate, and protect the service. We do not sell your notebook content or use it for advertising.
Account details
Email, account identifier and optional display name support sign-in, recovery and your workspace.
Your saved work
Notes, handwriting, photos, planner items and study records support the tools you choose.
Purchases
Store transaction and subscription records determine paid access. Fomibee does not receive your full payment-card number.
Technical information
Providers receive connection and service information, such as IP address, device or browser details, request time and error information.
Why information is processed
Information is used to provide requested features, save and synchronize work, administer accounts and purchases, prevent abuse and keep the service available. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, the relevant basis may be performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, meeting legal obligations, or consent for an optional activity. A system permission does not authorize unrelated uses of your information.
2. Your device and guest workspace
You can use guest study tools without creating an account. Guest notes, handwriting, photos, plans, study records, favorites, settings, and in-app notifications are stored on your device or in your browser storage.
Signing in opens a separate account workspace; it does not automatically merge the guest workspace into your account. Signing out preserves that account workspace on the device. Clearing browser storage, removing the app, or losing the device can remove local work. Device or browser backups may have their own retention settings.
PDF and image exports are saved or shared only when you choose that action. Once an export is saved elsewhere or sent to someone, its handling depends on that location or recipient.
On a shared device, signing out alone does not erase a locally saved workspace. Use the available deletion controls and your device or browser storage settings when you need to remove local copies.
3. Optional accounts and cloud sync
If you create an account, Supabase processes your email address, authentication credentials, account identifier, and any display name you provide. Account confirmation, password recovery, and account-change emails use that address.
Signing in to a configured account enables automatic workspace sync. Fomibee stores your notes and notebook layout, handwriting and images, planner tasks, and study history in its cloud workspace. Study records can include a chosen destination, subject, duration, completion time, and workspace time zone. These features are designed for your own account, rather than public notebook sharing.
Joining a connected study room sends a pseudonymous account-derived identifier, selected virtual destination, connection information, and seat occupancy to the room service. Other connected users may see occupancy or presence information. Your notes, account email, and study subject are not displayed as room presence.
4. Photos, text scanning, and reminders
- Photos and camera: if you add a picture or take a photo, the app requests the relevant system permission. Images added to a notebook are stored locally and may upload with account sync. Imported images are resized and re-encoded before storage.
- Text scanning: supported native builds use an image text-extraction library on the device. The current app does not send images to a separate cloud OCR service. If a photo is already in your cloud notebook, the app may first download it for scanning.
- Reminders and focus alarms: planner reminders and focus-completion alerts request notification permission and schedule local notifications. Reminder text may appear on your lock screen, depending on your device settings. The current app does not register a marketing push-notification service.
- Location: Fomibee does not request your physical GPS location. A virtual destination you select is different from your actual location.
You can change camera, photo, and notification permissions in your device settings. Refusing an optional permission may make its related feature unavailable.
5. Services you connect to
Subscriptions and purchases
Apple or Google processes store purchases and payment details. RevenueCat helps Fomibee check products, purchases, renewal or expiry information, and subscription access using an account identifier and purchase-related records. Its SDK can also process technical app, device and connection information for purchase validation and fraud prevention. Fomibee does not receive your full payment-card number. Store and RevenueCat records may remain subject to their own legal, fraud-prevention, and financial record-keeping obligations.
City weather
The app requests weather from Open-Meteo, or the configured weather endpoint, using the public coordinates of your selected virtual city. It does not send your account, notes, or GPS position in that request. Like other internet services, the provider can receive technical connection information such as your IP address.
YouTube music
When the YouTube music player loads, or you open a YouTube link, YouTube/Google receives connection information under its own policies. Loading can happen when a study screen opens, before you press Play. Playback sends further activity information; the player may use cookies or other identifiers and show ads. Built-in ambient audio is a separate option.
Service providers
Supabase supports authentication, cloud database, file storage, and room connections. RevenueCat supports subscription management. Vercel hosts this website. Providers may process information to operate and secure their services, and may use subprocessors.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, a security incident or a legal claim. When you export or share a page, the receiving service or person controls its copy. The app's notebook features do not send your text, handwriting or photos to a generative-AI provider.

6. This public website
This website does not contain an account sign-in form, newsletter collection form, advertising trackers, or an analytics SDK. Its fonts and images are served with the site. It does not set its own tracking cookies.
The hosting service still processes ordinary web requests, which can include IP address, browser information, requested URL, time, and technical logs for delivery and security. External links take you to services with their own policies. This website policy does not mean the app or an external YouTube player never uses local storage or third-party identifiers.
Cookies, storage and interactive previews
The landing-page timer and notebook are demonstrations held in the current browser page's memory. This website does not submit their text to a server or save it as an app account. Reloading or closing the page resets the demonstration. The app's saved workspace and authentication storage are separate from this marketing website. External websites you open may use their own cookies and storage.
7. Retention and deletion
Local information remains until you delete it, clear its workspace or browser storage, or remove the app, subject to system backups. Cloud information is kept while needed to provide your workspace, maintain the service, or satisfy applicable obligations. Some deletions use synchronization markers; removing one item does not necessarily erase every technical record or unused attachment immediately.
In the app, Profile → Privacy & support → Delete guest data clears the current guest workspace. Account builds also expose Delete account with a password check and confirmation.
Development limitation: some development accounts share a sign-in identity with another app. Deleting that identity can also affect the other app. Do not use the development account-deletion action for a shared sign-in. See account-deletion guidance before proceeding.
Signing out does not delete your cloud data. Account deletion does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription. Cancel subscriptions separately in the store. Previously exported files, recipients’ copies, store transaction records, and provider backups may not be removed by app deletion. We do not promise instant erasure from all backups or third-party systems.
What can remain
Deleting a note can leave a synchronization marker or an unused attachment until cleanup. The current guest-data cleanup removes the workspace and photos it can still identify; previously unreferenced photo files may remain until the app or browser storage is removed. Provider backups and security logs follow their own retention arrangements. Stores and purchase-service records can remain for legal, transaction or fraud-prevention needs. Copies saved to Photos, Files, cloud drives or other people are outside these deletion controls.
We have not set a guaranteed erasure period for the pre-release service and do not promise immediate deletion from every backup. A monitored privacy-request route and finalized retention procedures are required before public app release.
8. Security and international processing
The app uses HTTPS for service connections, private cloud storage access controls, and account-based database access. Native authentication sessions use secure device storage; web sessions use browser storage. Cloud-synced notebook content is not end-to-end encrypted, and authorized service operators or providers may need access to operate the service.
No device or online service can guarantee absolute security. Please protect your device and password, and avoid putting highly sensitive information in development builds. Providers may process data in countries other than yours; applicable protections depend on provider arrangements and local law.
9. Choices and privacy rights
You can stay in guest mode, edit or remove your content, export notebook pages as PDF or image, manage optional device permissions, and cancel a subscription through its original store.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing of, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to complain to your local privacy authority. We may need to verify an account before acting on a request. Notebook export is available in the app; it is not a complete export of all account and provider records.
Never send a password, payment-card details, authentication codes or an entire private notebook as proof of identity. The current privacy-request channel availability is explained on the support page.
10. Children and young people
This pre-release study app is not offered as a child-directed service. Connected account features should be used only when the applicable age and parental-consent requirements where the user lives are met. We do not claim to verify every visitor's age.
A parent or guardian can review the available removal controls. A monitored route for concerns about a child's personal information must be in place before public app release; that contact setup remains pending.
11. Contact and policy updates
The current support options and privacy-request status are explained on the support page. Contact details will be published before the app launches. This development website does not yet provide a monitored privacy-request form or email address.
We may update this policy as the service develops. We will update the date on this page and provide additional notice when required. The operator’s legal and contact details will be published before a public app release.
